雅思聽(tīng)力Part 3總是因?yàn)槌L(zhǎng)的選項(xiàng)、冷門(mén)的知識(shí)和嘰嘰呱呱的對(duì)話(huà),讓考鴨聞風(fēng)喪膽,號(hào)稱(chēng)聽(tīng)力部分第一殺手(沒(méi)錯(cuò),不是Part 4),而不少學(xué)生表示,大部分內(nèi)容聽(tīng)不懂,往往聽(tīng)到什么詞就選有它的選項(xiàng),大大方方地當(dāng)散財(cái)童子,讓考試費(fèi)打水漂。 稍有經(jīng)驗(yàn)的考鴨應(yīng)該聽(tīng)說(shuō)過(guò),原詞往往是干擾,可事實(shí)也不盡其然,就拿比較新的劍15來(lái)說(shuō),Test 1-Part 3里的兩個(gè)長(zhǎng)單選答案都在選項(xiàng)中出現(xiàn)原詞,而多選題里同義替換的選項(xiàng)卻是干擾,不得不說(shuō),為了反映大家的真實(shí)水平,雅思有在努力顛覆“解題技巧”。 所以,聽(tīng)到原詞與否,并不適合用來(lái)判斷答案是否正確。更何況,選項(xiàng)里的原詞你也不一定聽(tīng)全了是不是。 那么怎樣才能聽(tīng)出對(duì)話(huà)里的玄機(jī),怎樣才能巧妙避開(kāi)干擾又不誤傷正確答案,這里敲黑板給大家鞏固一個(gè)“小眾”卻運(yùn)用廣泛的知識(shí)點(diǎn)——虛擬語(yǔ)氣,它在聽(tīng)力Part 3中頻頻出現(xiàn),繞得不少同學(xué)團(tuán)團(tuán)轉(zhuǎn)卻不自知,是當(dāng)之無(wú)愧的大坑貨,而今天的避坑指北主要就是教大家躲避它。 首先,在雅思聽(tīng)力Part 3中,最常出現(xiàn)的虛擬語(yǔ)氣長(zhǎng)什么樣呢? 來(lái)看到下面幾個(gè)從劍雅真題聽(tīng)力Part 3音頻中摘取的句子: I think we could have done a bit more work at the beginning … 劍5-Test 3 They should have focused on people with low literacy levels … 劍13-Test 4 We had some terrible arguments and I would have died rather than apologise to him. 劍15-Test 1 沒(méi)錯(cuò),就是粗體的could/should/would have done(當(dāng)然還有它們的否定形式),劍橋大學(xué)出版社的語(yǔ)法書(shū)English Grammar in Use (4th edition) 對(duì)could/should/would have done的使用是這么解釋的:Something could have happened = it was possible but did not happen (Page 54),也就是使用could have done 表示過(guò)去原本能卻沒(méi)有發(fā)生/做;You should have done something= you didn't do it, but it would have been the right thing to do (Page 66),也就是使用should have done表示過(guò)去本應(yīng)該卻沒(méi)有發(fā)生/做;We use would have (done) when we imagine situations or actions in the past (=things that didn't happen) (Page 72),也就是使用would have done表示過(guò)去原本會(huì)但沒(méi)有發(fā)生/做; 綜上,這幾種表達(dá)后面所承接的內(nèi)容真實(shí)性都恰恰相反,而干擾就是這么來(lái)的。 接下來(lái)我們看到剛剛幾個(gè)例句分別對(duì)應(yīng)的題目,進(jìn)一步理解虛擬語(yǔ)氣在Part 3中是怎樣挖坑的。 1)劍5-Test 3第25題(填空) 題干:too much work in of the course - could be more evenly balanced. 語(yǔ)義:在課程中的某個(gè)階段堆積了太多課業(yè),應(yīng)該更合理地安排時(shí)間。 我們要聽(tīng)的就是哪個(gè)階段堆積了太多課業(yè)。 音頻中使用虛擬語(yǔ)氣引導(dǎo)干擾信息I think we could have done a bit more work at the beginning …(我們?cè)究梢栽谝婚_(kāi)始多下點(diǎn)功夫 也就是一開(kāi)始沒(méi)怎么弄,和題干語(yǔ)義相反),同學(xué)們一激動(dòng)就把the beginning當(dāng)成了答案,而事實(shí)上,正確答案緊跟在這句話(huà)后面I thought it was going to be really easy and then all of a sudden in the second half of the course we got a whole load of work. 2)劍13-Test 4-Section 3(多選) 題干:Which TWO things are true about the participants in the study on the traffic-light system? 這個(gè)語(yǔ)義好理解,我們要聽(tīng)的是關(guān)于被研究者的正確描述。 這道多選題中有原詞干擾選項(xiàng)A:They had low literacy levels. (他們的文化水平低下) 而原文使用虛擬語(yǔ)氣引導(dǎo)原詞,挖了個(gè)簡(jiǎn)單明了的坑:They should have focused on people with low literacy levels …(他們本應(yīng)該著重研究文化水平低下的人 à 也就是沒(méi)這么做,與題干相反),很多同學(xué)直接忽略should,以為是完成時(shí)。 3)劍15-Test 1-Part 3(多選) 題干:Which TWO experiences of sibling rivalry do the speakers agree has been valuable for them? 干擾項(xiàng)E. learning to say sorry 對(duì)應(yīng)音頻原文:We had some terrible arguments and I would have died rather than apologise to him. 這道題使用虛擬語(yǔ)氣和否定形式rather than引導(dǎo)干擾項(xiàng)say sorry的同義替換apologise,意思是“我寧可死都不要向他道歉”,與題干語(yǔ)義相反,在這里,能聽(tīng)到虛擬語(yǔ)氣或否定形式任意之一均可以判斷干擾。 含有虛擬語(yǔ)氣干擾信息的題目遠(yuǎn)不止這些,而且往往搭配轉(zhuǎn)折、否定和條件引導(dǎo)詞出現(xiàn),在Part 3(甚至Part 4和其他部分)給考鴨挖坑,而虛擬語(yǔ)氣的形式也不止上面說(shuō)到的幾種,聽(tīng)力中出現(xiàn)比較多是過(guò)去形式的虛擬,但現(xiàn)在和將來(lái)形式的虛擬也有涉及,希望大家可以好好補(bǔ)足這部分知識(shí),完美避坑,收獲目標(biāo)分。 |
